Nowadays the soap is still made with olive-, palm- and coconut-oil. These oils are mixed with soda and then boiled in big cauldrons at 120° Celsius for several days. A rinsing process with salt water follows. Then the substance dries for 48 hours. The soap gets cut into blocks.

This olive soap has no added colour or fragrance.

In France this soap is sold as "Savon de menage" (household soap). Its versatility goes as far as using it as a mild washing powder.
